- Can easily dissipate heat - Not bendable - Heavy - Big impact on the appearance of the boat

Flexible solar panels:

- Completely bendable - Small impact on boat appearance - Low efficiency - Large surface area required

Semi-flexible solar panels:

- High efficiency - Bendable, thin & walkable - Small impact on boat appearance - Easy installation - Can only dissipate heat at top of panel - More expensive than glass panels
