The automatic SafePro can be activated in three ways; 1. Via the simple and self-explanatory keyboard 2. By throwing the SafePro into the water (The SafePro will start transmitting as soon as it is submerged in water) 3. The first epirb in the world with built-in AIS transponder. On the 406MHz, an emergency call with GPS position will be sent to the satellites. The coordination center will receive a notification from the satellites and will call for help. Thanks to the GPS position sent in the emergency call, it is known where to look. MEOSAR

Started in 2011, a network of 72 MEOSAR satellites will be rolled out in the coming years. MEOSAR combines the advantages of the current LEOSAR(worldwide) and GEOSAR(GPS location processing). MEOSAR improves response speed and messaging. Result: Emergency call location within 100 meters, 95% within 5 minutes - Fast accurate detection saves lives. The KANNAD SafePro epirbs are MEOSAR compatible, ready for faster detection and accurate location by interoperating with the EOC(Early Operation Capability) MEOSAR Satellite Ground Stations, Mission Control Centers and Coordination Centers, such as the EOCs designed and installed by KANNAD in Australia, New- Zealand and the United States.

Recommended - 1 x test per month over a period of 10 years. An extensive test twice a year over a period of 10 years. Extensive testing must be performed in full view of the sky.
